Charlotte Casiraghi and her younger sister, Princess Alexandra of Hanover, appeared together at the Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week in coordinating dark outfits with burgundy accents. The daughters of Princess Caroline of Monaco posed side by side for photographers, with Charlotte’s arm around Alexandra.

Alexandra wore a black long-sleeved knit with an asymmetric folded neckline, tucked into wide-leg charcoal trousers that fell over black block heels. Stacked gold bracelets and a small shoulder bag with burgundy panels completed the look. Charlotte opted for sharper tailoring: a charcoal jacket with flap pockets and a decorative gold button, matching trousers and a simple black top, with a burgundy quilted handbag, loose waves and a coral lip.

The appearance comes shortly after Alexandra announced her engagement to her long-term partner, Ben Sylvester Strautmann, sharing photographs on Instagram with the caption “The marriage plot”. Tatler reports that her ring was made by Antinori di Sanpietro and features a yellow diamond chosen by Strautmann. The couple went public in 2017 and have regularly attended Monaco’s celebrations together, including the Rose Ball.

Alexandra, whose father is Prince Ernst August of Hanover, has spoken before about how close she feels to her older siblings. In 2020 she told Telva that she takes a lot from her mother’s wardrobe, describing it as a more sustainable way to dress. Charlotte’s father was the late Stefano Casiraghi, and both sisters are granddaughters of Princess Grace.

Charlotte’s ties to Chanel go beyond the front row. As an ambassador for the house, she helped develop its Literary Rendezvous, launched in 2021 to bring writers and guests together to discuss books and women’s independence. She has credited Karl Lagerfeld with encouraging her studies and introducing her to authors, including giving her Virginia Woolf’s diaries.
