Camille Gottlieb was one of the best-dressed guests at the second Global Gift Gala Monaco, held at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo on Friday 9 October. The 28-year-old daughter of Princess Stéphanie and granddaughter of Grace Kelly wore a floor-length black gown for the charity evening, which her own events agency helped to organise.
Her dress had a plunging V neckline and long, dramatic sleeves, with the bodice cinched at the waist before opening into a flowing skirt. She added a statement necklace and matching earrings, and wore her blonde hair in a soft updo with loose strands framing her face. The long sleeves balanced the deep neckline, and the defined waist gave the gown its shape without any obvious embellishment. The result was a polished, classic evening look that drew comparisons with her famous grandmother. Her mother, Princess Stéphanie, 61, chose a striking crimson gown.
The gala raised money for projects supporting vulnerable children and families around the world, and it drew a glamorous guest list. Actress Eva Longoria, of Desperate Housewives fame, wore a strapless black velvet gown with silver embellishment across the neckline, a delicate diamond necklace, hoop earrings and a sleek brunette updo. Swedish model and television presenter Victoria Silvstedt, 52, opted for a one-shouldered red gown with a ruched bodice, a sparkling detail at the waist and a sheer chiffon cape.
Alexandra Leclerc, the wife of Ferrari Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc, brought a softer palette in a powder-blue gown with sheer sleeves and a sweeping train, finished with a silver clutch and a sleek ponytail. French singer Carla Lazzari, 21, went for a black midi dress with long sleeves, a high neckline and a subtly sheer finish, paired with pointed heels and a glossy bob. Katerina Stassinopoulos wore a strapless red gown with a sculpted neckline, draped bodice and structured hip detail.
Black and red dominated the evening, with Gottlieb and Longoria leading the darker looks and Stéphanie, Silvstedt and Stassinopoulos opting for shades of red. Leclerc’s powder blue was the main exception to that palette. None of the designers behind the gowns were named. For Gottlieb, the night combined two roles, as one of the organisers behind the event and as one of its most photographed guests, and it kept her among the most visible younger members of Monaco’s extended princely family.
